Some cause for concern

Ray and myself visited Pete in hospital today. He looked very peaceful. He hasn't got any cuts on his face except a little graze on his eyebrow. He has a black eye, a nasty cut on his head that has been stitched, 1 broken arm and hand, 2 broken bones in thighs both legs, he is breathing by himself, but the main concern is his brain.

I sat and talked to him about his dog ,Tonka, and the people who love him so much from the sites in Suffolk. I stroked his hand too and it twitch but the nurse said it was abnormal for him to do that and they were concern at some of the movements his body is doing.

He is very very poorly still and they cant say which way this will go. Also there is a possibilty that he will be disabled in some way as he has sustained bruising to the stem of the brain.

I phone the hospital tonight but there is no change. So far he has been in his coma 5 days.

I'd just like to say what a fantastic job nurses do. Gertrude, Pete's nurse, works 12 hour shifts , standing at the foot of Pete's bed observing him and see to his needs. She is truely an Angel as are all nurses.
